The Descendants of John Blanks Sr.

In 2018, sisters Akira S. and Kamisha L. Graham of Wilmington, North Carolina, became the first descendants of John Blanks Sr., their fourth great-grandfather, to be inducted into the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Their membership also marked a historic milestone as they became the first women of color to join the Stamp Defiance Chapter of the DAR in Wilmington, North Carolina.
